Summary Daryl Tuffey, the New Zealand fast bowler, has been called up as a backup for Kyle Mills.
Mills suffered a quad strain in the match against Canada in Mumbai, after bowling just 16 deliveries and picking up two wickets.The medical officials of Kiwi team are working hard to get Mills fit. Tuffey will reach Mumbai tonight (Wednesday) to join the squad. He was called to India early to get acclimatise with the conditions. Kiwi skipper Daniel Vettori too did not recover from his injury. New Zealand take on Sri Lanka in their final group game on Friday. They have already qualified for the quarter-finals.
