Summary Vishal Kumar Verma had secured fourth position in the last senior national wrestling championship.
RANCHI (Web Desk) – A 25-year-old national-level wrestler of India, Vishal Kumar Verma was electrocuted at the inundated Jaipal Singh Stadium due to short circuit.
It has been learnt that Vishal Kumar was in fact pumping out the water that had collected inside the stadium when the horrible incident occurred and claimed his life.
Let it be known that the 25-year-old had secured fourth position in the last senior national wrestling championship.
The Jharkhand State Wrestling Association’s (JSWA) office is also inside the same stadium. The indoor stadium was built in 1978, and its condition had deteriorated due to heavy rainfalls in the recent past. Furthermore, the stadium had been inundated since the beginning of the monsoon.
