Summary Pakistan thrashed Bangladesh by 89 runs in the first warm-up match played at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. Twin centuries of Ahmed Shehzad and Misbah-ul-Haq put Pakistan in a strong position to beat Bangladesh. Pakistan gave 285 runs target to Bangladesh at the loss of 9 wickets.

Shehzad and Misbah were the prominent batsmen who made 103 and 100 runs respectively. Rubel Hossain and Shakib Al Hasan took three wickets each. Chasing the target of 286, Bangladesh lost early wicket of Tamim Iqbal who was bowled by Abdul Razzaq for a golden duck. Razzaq took three wickets and remained the most successful bowler of Pakistan. Spinners Hafeez and Abdur Rehman grabbed 2 wickets each. Pakistan bowled out Bangladesh at 196 and finished the innings in 41.4 overs.
