Summary Pakistani cricket team came back to the country after completing a successful tour of New Zealand. Players said that winning their last series before the world cup was a good omen.

Talking to the media at the Jinnah International Airport Karachi, skipper Shahid Afridi expressed his satisfaction over the performance of his side. He said that playing conditions in Sri Lanka would be favourable for Pakistan and the players would do their best win the cup. Team manager Intikhab Alam said that the boys worked hard on their fitness and showed better performance in every department of the game during the tour. However, he regretted the ban on three Pakistani cricketers imposed by the ICC. Vice captain Misbah ul Haq said that only the best side would lift the world cup. He expressed his satisfaction over his form and team’s performance during the tour and said that he was confident that team would do well in the world cup as well. The team attributed their victory in New Zealand to the prayers of their compatriots.
