He will now face either top seed Rafael Nadal or seventh seed David Ferrer in the semi-final.Nadal and Ferrer are currently battling it out for their place in the last four. Dolgopolov is a very unorthodox plan who closed a major upset when he defeated Robin Soderling in the previous round. It was obvious from the start of this match that Murray was having some difficulty with the Ukrainians unusual style. He uses a wide variety of spins and power to confuse his opponents. Although Murray managed to cope with the challenges posed by the Ukrainian for the first two sets he succumbed in the third and had to regroup to win the fourth.
