CWG: Australia beat India 8-0 in Hockey final

World Champion Australia outclassed host India in the Commonwealth games 2010 Hockey final at Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, to clinch gold medal whereas New Zealand managed a bronze medal. Australia clinched the Gold medal after defeating India 8-0 in the final. The defending champions managed to score 4 goals in the first half and added 4 more to them in the second half, defending their title successfully On the other hand, Australia played attacking game and pushed Indians on backfoot with four quick goals in the first half. On the other hand, mens and womens marathon race competitions were dominated by Kenyan athletes. Kenyan Johan Kyla won the mens marathon while Irene Kasogi clinched first position in womens marathon.
