Summary Maybe he can have a chance for Sunday, says City's manager Manuel Pellegrini.

LONDON (AFP) - Argentina striker Sergio Aguero will miss Premier League title-chasers Manchester City s match against Aston Villa on Wednesday because of a groin injury.

"Injuries are just Sergio Aguero," City manager Manuel Pellegrini told a news conference on Tuesday.

"He couldn t recover 100 percent from his groin problem, so he s not in the squad list.

"Maybe he can have a chance for Sunday. We ll see how he improves during the week to see if he can play on Sunday," the Chilean added.

"It s a difficult game because all the teams are under pressure. But I hope that if we play at home as we have so far we can win."

City will go two points clear of leaders Liverpool, whose title hopes suffered a huge blow when they threw away a 3-0 lead in a 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday, with one game to play if they beat Villa.

Pellegrini s men are at home to West Ham on Sunday s final day of the season, while Liverpool face Newcastle at Anfield.
