Summary Pakistan street child footballers were accorded heroes’ welcome at the Karachi Airport on Tuesday.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan footballers returned home on Tuesday morning from Brazil after securing third position in the Street Child Football World Cup.
A large number of football fans, families of the players and some political figures greeted the team at the airport.
Pakistan secured third place after defeating United States in Street Child Football World Cup match on Sunday.
Pakistani children made the country proud after making it big in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this year.
Pakistan team fought hard and made their way till the semifinals but had lost it to Burundi in the semis.
Later, the team visited Sindh Assembly where law makers welcomed them with standing ovation.
The Sindh government has announced Rs 200,000 each for the players of the team.
