Summary District and Session Judge Gujranwala cancelled marriage contract of a 12-year-old girl.
Yousaf Pura’s resident Arshad, got married his 12-year-old daughter Kiran with a 45-year-old man Saleem in greed of house. Afterward, due to non-achievement of house and torture on Kiran by her in-laws, Arshad filed a petition in the court of District and Session Judge for recovery of his daughter.Earlier, the police, on the court’s orders, handed over the girl to her parents after recovering her from the house of her in-laws.In today’s hearing, the court, after cancelling wedlock of the minor girl, ordered the police to take action against the bride’s parents, the groom, the witnesses and the Nikah Khawan.
