Summary LHC deferred the hearing of case against purchase of sugar by TCP on high rates from sugar mills.
When Chief Justice started hearing of the case, the Trading Corporation of Pakistan moved its detailed reply in the court and said that the TCP purchased 250,000 metric tons by Rs 65 per kg and next month, 1,00,000 metric tons sugar would be purchased by Rs 45.The petitioner said that the TCP has admitted to purchase sugar on high rate and requested the court to take action.The court has directed the petitioner to move further explanation till February 27.
