Summary Thousands of KMC employees are facing economic hardships.
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation employees have not been paid salaries of two month.Employees of the corporation from grade-7 to 15 are derived of one-month salary while employees of upper grades two-month salary.The Sindh CM had tried to tackle the issue with issuance of Rs 220 million but it remained unsettled as remaining amount is yet to be paid. Rs 320 million are required for salaries.KMC officials say that their department is being exploited under the guise of district tax, causing tremendous problems for employees, halt in welfare projects and other expenditure.
