Summary A case has been registered against a DSP who tortured a 10th class student in Faisalabad.
Son of DSP Investigation Zafarullah Niazi had a quarrel with his friend Hassan and complained to his father.The DSP rushed to the student’s house along with his fellows and severely tortured him.Hassan fell unconscious due to torture while the attackers also misbehaved with the women. The family members of the student and residents of the area had protested against police torture and had appealed to the Punjab CM to take notice of the incident.A case has been registered against the DSP and nine others in Sargodha Road Police Station.Later, DSP Zafarullah was suspended on the order of Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police.
