Faisalabad: farmer killed as sugar mill guard fires on demo

The farmers were staging a protest against low payment by a sugar mill of Faisalabad. The guards of the mill asked the protesting farmers to disperse, but on no-compliance firing started. Three other peasants were also injured. One of them is also reported to be in a critical condition.On hearing the news of the killing of farmer, the other farmers gathered outside the Allied Hospital and placed the slain farmer’s dead body on the road to stage the protest. They said that the mill owners ordered the guards to open direct fire on their demo in front of the mill.
