Summary Representatives of PPP and MQM on Thursday discussed new Local Government system in Sindh.
During second phase of meeting, both parties fully endorsed that the new Sindh Local Government system will be as per expectations and aspirations of the people, which will end the Urban and Rural differences, says a statement.The new system will be called as “Sindh Local Government System 2011” which will soon be presented in Sindh Provincial Assembly so that the same is brought under legal cover.Detailed discussions were made in today’s meeting and representatives of both parties appraised their proposals and suggestions, while many issues and aspects were discussed in detail.Later, it was decided to have meetings of respective leaders regarding all proposals and suggestions, and then the delegation will again meet and the matter will be finalized.The meeting was attended among others by Senior Minister Education Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq, Sindh Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani, Sindh Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Sindh Minister for Archives and Special Development Rafique Engineer.Besides the members of MQM were also present on the occasion included Provincial Minister Syed Sardar Ahmed, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Sagheer Ahmed, Member Rabita Committee & Former Zila Nazim, Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jameel, Member Rabita Committee and former Town Nazim Gulshan-e-Iqbal Wasie Jaleel and Wasim Akhtar MNA.
