Darya: Police apprehend dozens of suspects, recovers arms

The arrests came during a special operation in Darya Khan.On the directives of DPO Bhakkar Ra’ay Ijaz Ahmed, Bhakkar Police along with Lady Police, Elite and reserve force carried out a special operation in Darya Khan.Kalashnikovs, rifles, pistols, bullets and drugs were seized, while police arrested more than five dozen suspects. Interrogations are underway.A news agency quoted its sources as saying that the operation was kept secret and even the cell phones from the policemen were taken and they were told about Chief Minister’s visit to Model Village next morning.Police beefed up security across the city and cordoned off most streets. The operation continued for six consecutive hours.
