Summary The Sindh High Court could not conduct hearing of cases due to heavy rain in Karachi.
Most localities of the metropolis were inundated due to heavy rain starting from the evening of Monday. As a result, rainwater accumulated in the compounds of courts and other offices. Under these circumstances, a large number of clients could not reach the courts. On the request of Karachi Bar Association, district and sessions judges adjourned hearings of cases.The board was discharged after hearing of some of cases in the Sindh High Court; however, the hearing of suo-motu notices continued in the Supreme Court Registry Branch.The Chief Justice reached the Supreme Court despite mechanical fault in his vehicle.Heavy quantity of water accumulated in and out the Supreme Court’s Registry.
