Summary Sindh Home Department has imposed a ban on issuance of arms license throughout the province.
According to sources, the Home Department has sought details from DCOs of arms licenses issued during the last three years.Former Sindh Homer Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza gave approval to 185,000 applications while 145,000 arms licenses were issued.According to the policy, the CM and the Home Minister have unlimited powers to issue arms licenses, the Interior Secretary is authorised to issue 200 licenses every month while the DCO can issue only 50 licenses per month.
