The incident enraged the traders on Ferozpur Road and they staged a protest against the death of the jeweler under police detention.They demanded an immediate action against the police official responsible for the killing.Separately, a group of traders lodged a protest against Defence-A police at Y-Blocks commercial market in the Defence Housing Authority after a 30-year-old trader mortally wounded by robbers.The protesters called for the arrest of the killers who fled after shooting the man and looting cash.Defence-A police said two robbers caught Ahmad Iqbal of the Batapur area when he was closing his boutique and demanded cash and valuables. As Ahmad put up resistance, the robbers opened fire at him, collected thousands of rupees from his shop and fled.
