Summary The dengue epidemic seems to become out of control in Lahore while spray operation is suspended.

A meeting, regarding arrangements of controlling dengue virus, was held at DCO office under the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.At least 15 MPAs and MNAs of PML-N criticised Lahore DCO for not adopting measures for anti-dengue spray. They said that they were facing public anger as the health department was not conducting the spyaing operation in their localities.The health department officials told that the anti-dengue spray operatipn was pending due to shortage of spray kits. The health department authorities admitted that the operation should have been started earlier. EDO Health said that the epidemic may become out of control if the problem is not dealt with seriously.
