Summary PML-F Chief Pir Pagara announced to favour the establishment of Bahawalpur province.
He said that if Karachi is made as capital of the country, Sindh might be saved from further division into two parts. Ex-federal minister Muhammad Ali Durani held a meeting with Pir Sahib.While talking to the media, Pagara said that the people may be provided with special relief if the federal units are kept short, adding that the importance of Punjab would not fall with the establishment of new provinces.Bahawalpur was part of the federation till 1972, he said.He said, ‘If you exploit the people, Army would come.Muhammad Ali Durrani said that the people of the Bahawalpur were ruthlessly exploited.
