Summary Provincial Minister for Agriculture Ahmad Ali Aoulakh has rejected the tax imposed on agri sector.
Aoulakh said that imposition of 16 percent tax on agriculture by federal government would hit the sector. He said that the Punjab government had started projects with a cost of Rs 19 billion to enhance agri yield. The construction work of small dams will be started soon, he added.He condemned the federal government’s decision to impose the tax, quoting the example of other countries which were giving subsidy to the sector.
