Summary Police have allegedly killed a father of three children during his arrest in Pasrur area of Sialkot
The deceased, 25-year-old Shahid, was a labourer and used to toile hard to feed his family.His family member said that police arrested him five days ago after accusing him of a robbery.They said that police alleged that a cell phone was recovered from his possessions but, they said, Shahid had bought that phone against Rs 1,000.Police did not hand over the body to the heirs and the relatives of the deceased staged a protest and surrounded Pasrur PoliceStation. They were saying that they would continue the protest until they receive the body.The police higher authorities took notice of the matter and confirmed, after initial investigation, that marks of torture were found over the body of the deceased. A case has been registered against police official and four policemen, including the station house officer of Psrur Police Station, have been arrested.
