Summary Untrained mechanics with no license are fitting the CNG kits in vehicles in Quetta.
People are converting their vehicles on gas as the fuel pieces are soaring continuously.Some 40,000 vehicles are running on CNG in the city and many more people wanted to install CNG cylinders in their vehicle.But untrained mechanics with no OGRA license for fitting CNG kits are doing the job in Quetta.According to the marketing rules of the CNG Act 1992, only license holder individuals or companies can install CNG cylinder invehicle and the cylinder must be tested once in 5 years.The Petroleum Ministry had set up a work shop in Quetta for the test but people did not turn up with their vehicles in the workshop even in 10 years.
