Summary CCPO Lahore directs SPs SHOs to ensure special petrolling in Ramzan.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Ahmad Raza Tahir has said that Lahore Police ought to utilize all its resources and capabilities to ensure law and order during the holy month of Ramzan.CCPO directed all divisional SPs and SHOs to ensure special patrolling of their respective areas half an hour before Maghrib and Morning prayers. CCPO warned that dereliction of duty by any officer and official during the month of Ramzan would not be tolerated at all.In his order, Ahmad Raza Tahir directed all divisional SPs and SHOs to visit Mosques and Imam Bargahs in their respective areas to ensure foolproof security arrangements and not to depute any security guard without proper verification.The use of loud speakers would not be allowed, except Travhee prayers, Arabic Khutba, Azan and prayers, whereas, strict legal action would be taken in the case of any violation, he added.He said that car parking should be made at 100 meter away from the sacred places and a security guard or police constable must be deputed there, while no car should be parked without proper checking.He directed all the divisional SPs and SHOs to ensure the checking of hotels, Sunday and Ramzan Bazaars, which should be setup at open places.CCPO further said that thorough checking of Lorryadda, Railway Station and other bus stands must be ensured and citizens should be briefed to inform at 15 Police Emergency, if they observe any suspicious thing or person.Ahmad Raza Tahir also directed all divisional SPs to check police personnel deputed at the Mosques or Imam Bargahs in their respective areas and properly brief them before sending them to duty. He said that the flow of traffic should be ensured during rush hours and motorcycles and vehicles should not be allowed to enter in Sunday bazaars during Ramzan.Ahmad Raza Tahir directed Chief Traffic Officer to ensure supervision of all circle officers and Traffic Wardens on busy roads, who would be responsible for the smooth flow of traffic in their respective areas.
