Summary Students of BZU protested against ending shuttle service and non-appointment of VC.
A large number of students gathered at the main gate of the university and shouted slogans against the administration. They said the political forces were meddling with the varsity matters without focusing on real issues facing students. They said that three months had lapsed and no vice chancellor could be appointed, adding that the varsity administration had not paid Rs 18 million to a private patrol pump.At this, the pump owner stopped the supply of oil to the varsity busses, and the administration was bound to stop the shuttle service from Chungi No 9 to the university. The students also warned the rulers to refrain from making the varsity a battlefield for their vested interests. “They should instead take decision while keeping in view the very interests of the students.”The students also sought the appointment of VC without any delay so that academic as well as administrative activities could be run properly.
