Summary A shutterdown strike was observed against finishing the status of Tando Allahyar as a district.
The step was taken on the appeal of the District Protection Action Committee.A large number of citizens from the city as well as suburbs participated in the strike. All the business activities remained closed.On the other hand, unknown armed men indulged in aerial firing in different areas, creating panic among people. Addition security forces were deployed in the city to avoid any untoward incident.
