Summary The phone jammer installed in Kot Lakhpat jail is affecting the mobile phone service in the area.
The cellular operators, in a letter, demanded Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to remove the jammer on urgent basis.According to cellular operators’ letter received by Dunya News, the Punjab government had installed three mobile phone jammers worth Rs 20 million at Kot Lakhpat jail one and ahalf month ago.But the mobile service from 6 to 15 kilometer area has started affecting due to these jammers.The Frequency Activation Board, in its survey, also declared these jammers as the main reason of poor mobile phone service.
