Summary The transporters in Multan have also increased fares after two and a half days gas suspension.

The fares of mini-wagons and buses heading towards different districts of South Punjab have been increased up to Rs 50 per bus stop.The fare for Bahawalpur from Multan has been increased from Rs 100 to 130 while fare for Taunsa has been increased from Rs 150 to Rs 200.Meanwhile, fare for Muzaffargarh has been increased from Rs 40 to Rs 60.The passengers have strongly protested against the increase in fares and demanded the government to take notice of the raise.On the other hand, according to the transporters; they have to run the vehicles on petrol due to shortage of CNG, that’s why they are compelled to raise transport fares.
