Summary Petrol pumps in many areas of Karachi were closed due to poor law and order situation.
People are facing tremendous problems while transporters have announced to keep buses off roads.The situation remained tense across the city while some elements were spreading rumours about strike. The scared people queued up at petrol pumps in great numbers.Likewise, women also carried bottles to fetch petrol for generators and vehicles.The crowd of clients aggravated the situation and pump owners called police in many instances.When the situation normalised a bit, the owners thought it appropriate to shut their stations.Many citizens had to push their vehicles after fuel ran out.
