Summary LHC has ordered IG not to post as SHO any officer involved in any criminal case.
During the hearing of a case against former Satukatla Station House Officer (SHO) Ghulam Dastageer, Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry ordered the Punjab IG not to assign duty to corrupt or unscrupulous police officials. The IG informed the court that many officials had been dismissed from services on the charge of misuse of powers.
