Summary Two students of Rescue 1122 drowned in Chenab River when they were on departmental training.
To tackle the flood situation in future, Rescue 1122 planned to train 100 students of Govt High School Samejaabad.The students were taken to Chenab River for training with permission of headmaster of the school.Eight of them were taken to a boat for demonstration. The boat capsized and the students drowned. The rescue teams saved 6 students while 2 died in the water.Dead body of Muhammad Fahd Saeed, resident of Samejaabd has been found while rescue operation is underway to search another student Ahmad’s body.DG Rescue 1122 has ordered to launch investigation into the incident.
