Summary Traders set on fire 2 tractors of Municipal Committee in operation against encroachment in Arifwala.
When the TMO establishment launched operation against encroachments, enraged traders set two tractors of Municipal Corporation on fire.Assistant Commissioner and his staff had to flee from the spot to safety. Police dispersed protesters by using force. The operation was launched at Karkhana Bazar at the presence of MNA Rana Zahid Hussein.The situation in the bazaar became tense in the very beginning of operation. As a reaction, angry traders started throwing stones on TMO staff.They not only destroyed the vans of AC Rizwan Ahmed and TMO Aziz Ahmad but also set two tractors of Municipal Corporation on fire. At this, the Assistant Commissioner and his staff fled from the scene.
