Summary At least 4 people were injured as a fire broke out in two plazas of Shah Alam market in Lahore.
The fire erupted due to short circuit on 5th floor of Data Centre and Fazil Plaza at 2pm.The fire engulfed a huge quantity of perfumes, gas lighters, cosmetics, pampers and plastic products.Police and rescue officials arrived at the spot to evacuate the plaza. The fire brigade had to face difficulty due to congested area and narrow streets.According to eye witnesses, the rescue team and Fire Brigade arrived in time while blasts were also heard after the fire erupted.The fire was extinguished by the fire brigade after some hours.This is the second time the market caught fire as earlier fire only months ago caused a huge loss to traders.
