Summary Tour operators filed a petition over contempt of court against DG Haja and others.
This step was taken due to negligence of the department by not implementing the court order pertaining to quota for tour operators. Advocate Azhar Siddique said that full bench of HC had declared the quota null and void which had been given to the tour operators under Haj policy 2011 and ordered to deliver quota for the tour operators on merit. But DG Haj has not implemented the court verdict. He prayed to the court that DG Haj and Secretary for religious affairs should be tried for committing contempt of the court.
