Summary Patients in Balochistan, including Quetta, are facing severe problems due to doctors strike.
The newly appointed doctors did not take charge even after five days of their appointments in Balochistan.Taking notice of the doctors’ strike in the province, the Balochistan government terminated 127 doctors and recruited new doctors to treat the patients. But the newly appointed doctors did not report even five days after their appointments.Doctors in the province are on strike since April 9, demanding increase in their salaries and security.The out-patients department and operation theatre are closed in the government hospitals and wards are empty due to doctors’ absence.
