Multan: Protest demonstration against budget

According to reports, Muttahid Shehri Mahaz organised a protest against federal budget 2011. The protesters were carrying placards and banners and shouted slogans against the government and also burnt International Monitory Fund (IMF) effigy.The protesters were of the view that it was not a poor-friendly budget and called it a pro-elite budget. They said that masses were suffering due to inflation.They said that utility bills have affected the poor very badly. They said that by not giving any subsidy on food items, the government tried to kill the masses by starvation. They demanded of the government to take back the budget presented under the IMF pressure.
