Summary Residents block road to protest against load shedding.

Police resorted to shelling on the residents of Sharifabad locality of Karachi after they protested against unavailability of electricity and water in their area.According to Dunya News, the residents staged a protest demonstration at Chamra Chaurangi due to long hours of load shedding in their area while water was also unavailable.The protesters burnt tyres and raised slogans against the city administration. The police was called to control the situation, but they were pelted with stones.However, people escaped from the area after intense teargas shelling by police. According to sources, no injury was reported in the incident.
