Summary A woman has died during delivery due to lady doctors alleged negligence in Gujranwala.
A resident of Jinnah Road, Gujranwala, Muhammad Afzal brought his wife, Razia, to the District Hospital where she gave birth to a child.Afzal alleged that the lady doctor started talking on a phone leaving the delivery procedures undone and his wife died due to excess spill of blood. Instead of telling him of his wife’s death, the hospital staff asked to take her Lahore.Afzal said that her wife was discovered dead when she was being taken out of the ward.Outraged heirs of Razia laid her dead body at the exit of the hospital and staged protested. Huge number of police troops arrived at the scene and assured the protestors of legal proceeding against the suspects. The protest ended afterwards.
