Summary The rain water coming from Koh-e-Suleman has inundated DG khan villages.
The floodwater coming down from Koh-e-Suleman is speedily heading towards suburban areas of Dera Ghazi Khan.The floodwater has covered at least 7 kilometres’ distance while it is only 15 kilometres away from DG Khan.On the other hand, several villages of Kot Haibat union council including Basti Kaleri, Machi, Mandrani, Nimra and Basti Buzdar have been submerged in the floodwater. Hundreds of houses were partly affected.The flood water has devastated hundreds of hectares of sunflower, cotton and other crops. But the administration is paying no heed to the matter. The residents of the area are trying to tackle the flood themselves.According to the residents, no government official has visited the area so far, while the district administration claims that there is no risk of flood in the area.
