Summary An influential broker has occupied the government school building in Hafizabad.
Despite the lofty claims by the Punjab government that it was upgrading the education sector, a primary school building in Bhaka Bhattian near Hafizabad is in unlawful custody of some influential persons who are using it as godown for the past five years. The students are facing hardships as they have to go to far flung areas for their education. According to reports, five years ago, more than 100 students were getting their education in the school but the education authorities closed it due to lack of staff. After the closure of the school, one Najam-al-Muzaffar, an influential farmer of the area, used the building as grain store and started his brokerage business there.
