Summary The supply of free medicines to patients was halted at the District Headquarters Hospital, Multan.
Punjab government had provided Rs 5 million for the supply of free medicines to the patients. The hospital administration spent Rs 1.9 million on provision of free medicines while Rs 3.1 million were spent on dialysis centre.Poor patients at the District Headquarters Hospital are facing problems due to non-availability of free medicines. People were of the opinion that provision of free medicines was responsibility of the government and demanded immediate allocation of funds.
