Summary Protesters attacked SDO office and ransacked furniture and also blocked roads.
According to reports, Nawan Goth area of Sukkur is without electricity for the past five days. Hundreds of people participated in a protest against power shutdown at Police Headquarters Chowk. The protesters blocked traffic by setting tyres on fire. The residents of the area informed that they paid Rs 25,000 to Sukkur Electric Supply Corporation to fix the transformer, but it stopped working just few hours after the repairment. The residents alleged that SESCO officials are again demanding a huge amount of money to fix the transformer.The protester also attacked the office of the SDO and ransacked furniture. They again gathered at Police Headquarters Chowk and staged a sit-in there. The resident of the area are also without water for the past five days due to power shutdown.
