Summary The Education Department has closed many boys and girls schools due to shortage of funds.
The Punjab government has spent millions of rupees to open on Danish School but ordered to shut several boys and girls schools in the densely populated urban areas.Ten more schools will be shut down in Pak Gate, Shah Gardaiz, Chawk Fawara, Mumtazabad, Shujaabad and Koraywala areas of Multan.Meanwhile, according to the Executive District Officer for Education Afzal Javed, these schools are being merged with other schools due to low number of students and dilapidated school buildings.
