Summary A bomb explosion occurred via a remote control near the Sam Shakh point rail road in Jacobabad.
Bolan Express, travelling from Quetta to Karachi derailed due to the damaged track. No passengers were injured as four cabins including the engine compartment of the train, derailed.The explosion occurred at 8:15 pm and the sound of the explosion was heard for miles. Both Sindh and Balochistan police arrived at the scene because the explosion occurred near the border area of the provinces. Rather than starting the rescue and relief efforts the police started quarrelling over the jurisdiction.Passengers said that the explosions are occurring more frequently now and the government is failing to provide protection to the people. DS Railway Sakhar Roshan Ali Mangi said that relief trains were called in from Sibi to take the passengers to their destination.
