Summary The victims family protested on GT road blocking traffic for five hours.
Allah Ditta a resident of Ahmednagar road area was arrested by the police on suspicion for his involvement in a murder case. According to the victim’s family, during interrogation Allah Ditta was brutally tortured and killed him. On the other hand the Police claim that the accused was suffering from a bladder illness. The victim’s family protested against the alleged police torture by blocking the GT road. After five hour, Minister Provincial Assembly Shaukat Manzoor Cheema and Deputy Superintendent of Police arrived at the scene and assured the protestors of action against the concerned police officials. After the assurance, the protestor dispersed and the flow of traffic was restored. The body has been shifted to District Hospital Gujranwala for a post-mortem report.
