The SNGPL authorities launched a campaign against gas theft in newly-build housing colonies.The SNGPL staff disconnected illegal connections in five new housing colonies on Bahawalpur Road, Bosan Road and Vehari Road, while, according to the department’s engineer, five more colonies have also been traced where the operation against gas theft was underway.According to the residents of the area, the officials of the department gave these connections after taking thousands of rupees as illegal gratification, and now, they themselves were seizing the connections.
