Summary WASA Managing Director suspended three officers and ordered the start of an investigation.
In Sadiqabad, three-year-old Ahsan Raza was playing on when he fell into an open manhole. Parents tried looking for their son in the manhole but were unsuccessful in their search. While they were searching kids in the neighbourhood spotted the body and called for help. By the time Raza was recovered he had lost his life. Residents of the area said that they had lodged complaints and written applications to Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) many times but no action was taken. The family of the victim plan to initiate a murder case against WASA.
