Summary At least fifteen people were injured as police baton-charged protestors in chiniot.
Some armed men of an influential landlord kidnapped a shop keeper.The family of the kidnapped requested to file a case against the accused; however, after seeking no help from the police, they held a protest demonstration on Chiniot Road. The protesters blocked the road for three hours and burnt tyres.Meanwhile, 15 protesters injured as the police baton-charged the demonstration.Later, the protesters dispersed on the assurance of the police to arrest the accused. The police registered a case and arrested an accused.
