Tipu Tarkan Walan died after he was severely injured in firing incident that broke out on Wednesday night at the Lahore Airport. He was a central character in Lahores gang wars. In ongoing gang-wars and family enmity, Tipus father Arif Ameer Arif Tipu Trakan Walan and grandfather Natho Pahalwan were also murdered.Tipu was coming back to Lahore from Dubai where he went to see his hotel affairs. On his return to Lahore airport, an attempt to murder him was made by Khurram Ijaz who fired 4 times at him with his 9mm pistol of which 3 bullets hit Tipu in his back. He was a very famous and played the role of central character in the ongoing gang-wars in Lahore. After the shootout Khurram surrendered to the Airport Security Force officials present on duty and declared Tipu as the murderer of his brother. A case was registered against the incident at Server Road Police station. Police has taken the convict to an undisclosed location for further interrogations. Tipu was being treated at the ICU ward of Mayo Hospital Lahore where on Friday evening he was declared dead. Two operations and 61 bottles of blood were unable to save Tipu. Tipu was living on ventilators for the past two days. Since Wednesday evening till Friday large number of relatives and supporters of Tipu were present at the hospital with arms and weapons due to which the atmosphere at the hospital was tense. Large number of Police was also present at the hospital.13 years ago alleged murderers of Tipus father including Hanif Arif Hanifa, Shaiq Arif Baba and Manter Shah were killed in Police encounters, while the person who killed Tipus father, Wahid Arif is still at large.
