Summary Three armed persons opened fire and injured two traffic wardens in Lahore.

According to details, two traffic wardens Khalid Nawaz and Qaisar who were performing their duties at the Azadi Chowk challaned a vehicle owned by Abdul Ghafoor for traffic violation. Ghafoor got infuriated after getting a challan slip and went away after giving threats of dire consequences to the traffic wardens.Ghafoor returned at the site some time later with two other persons and opened fire at the traffic wardens and fled from the scene. The traffic wardens were rushed to Mayo Hospital where their condition is stated to be critical.
